I love the latest fashion trends, but I'm not a fan of shopping. For a while, I was pretty low on money and had a very tight budget. However, my family is all fancy pants. I wanted to be like the poor girl in the movie, moving from a small, country town to the big city. But really, that's just not my personality. I'm way too aware of budget and money and my father screwed finances in my head with a drill. His way was the right way, and my opinion will stand, it is the right way. Though, there are benefits to having a fancy pants family, and that is getting fancy pants gifts.
My boyfriend, Travis, was in college at The University of Texas - Austin, which will one day be a story in and of itself. We lived in a cute little, quaint condo in Austin. He didn't have a full time job and I taught at one of the lowest paying districts in Texas. I had to learn real quick how to make money last. Being broke doesn't change your desires. I still wanted the finer things that the mall had to offer. Digging through clothes at a thrift shop or wearing an outfit "gently worn" isn't something many people find adventure in doing. Fortunately, It is my Saturday morning high, my third cup of coffee, my work out clothes all day, my lulu to my lemon, and my get outta jail free card. I'm semi obsessed with finding deals and bragging about them, to the right people. Some people turn up their nose, and some are intrigued, and I myself, find it quite fascinating. I have found the best stores and websites to get the absolute best deals. With all of the advertising I'm about to do, someone should sponsor me. No, literally. I heard you can make money from a blog. I read one website about earning blog money, and I'm over it. This is solely to share my joy of a good deal. I get excited just thinking about it.
