Before I started my blog, I would aimlessly shop around and cross my fingers that I would find something fabulous. Now, shopping has a new meaning that brings excitement to my everyday life. I've got people to please and adventures to tell. I can't just wish upon the good heavens to bring me a fashionable outfit. Oh, the pressure. The good kind of pressure - the thrill of thrifting. I was on a mission to find the best of the best and bring an affordable and stylish wardrobe to others. Your wish was my command, and I found some bargains. I did run into the problem of wanting to buy too much. I received a lot of advice on estimating the price of items and how to figure out if the deal is worth bragging about. If Christian Louboutins are originally $800, and you find them for 50% off or more, would you consider 400 dollars a bang for your buck? Now, if you'r reading this and you just got excited about $400 Louboutins, hit up Poshmark or Marshalls. Some may say that's a bargain, but that's not why I'm here and it definitely isn't in my price range. Those are the purchases that stress me out and have me contemplating a week later if I made the right decision. Checking and re-checking my bank account to see if I am going to be able to eat something else other than cereal until I get paid again. Lord, the struggle. So, I am throwing all math equations out of the window. Because just rereading my post, it sounded like an 8th grade math word problem that I was about to solve and the anxiety kicked in. I figured out at a young age to leave math out of any problem that I'm solving. If you love it, and it's affordable, and in your price range, then you've got yourself a new piece added to your collection.
This weekend I explored Buffalo Exchange. You can also sell to Buffalo Exchange, but they are very picky with what they buy. You will usually get double what they are offering you in cash for store credit. It is worth it to get store credit if you do plan on shopping, and after reading this, why wouldn't you? I will also post a lot from Gap - Sometimes I buy it resale and other times brand new. I worked at Gap for a year while living in Austin. Gap is the ONLY clothing store that I have a credit card to. You can use it at Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta. If you get the Gap Credit Card, pay it off immediately. The interest rate is high, but you usually get double rewards, which means every $50 spent, you will get $5 back. I ALWAYS use coupons while shopping at Gap. Also, their mailing list is the best to get on. NEVER buy from Gap unless it is on sale and you have a coupon/coupon code. After working there for a year, I learned that Gap always has some sort of promotion, and everything you want will go on sale eventually, even if it is brand new in the store. Poshmark is where I have recently found a lot of treasures. You just create an account and start shopping. What I love about Poshmark is that you can bargain. I always offer less than what they are offering - it doesn't hurt to try. I also will offer the amount minus the cost of shipping. That way the price totals what they were originally asking. I have embedded the links to all the shops that are included in my outfit when you hover over the description or store name.

This jacket on the left is originally from J.Crew - The Downtown Field Jacket in Navy Blue, originally $148.00. I bought It fromBuffalo Exchange for $28.00. In all honesty, I thought that was kind of pricey for Buffalo Exchange. I loved it, though and very versatile.

On the right are the Broken-In Straight Khakis from Gap in Forrest Green. These were not purchased as resale, but I have seen them multiple times at Plato's Closet and Buffalo Exchange. I bought these for maybe $20.00, probably less - they are originally $60. Gap no longer makes the Broken-In Straight Khaki. The closest you will find are the Girlfriend Twill Stripe Chinos.

The Vince Camuto - 'Lilliana 3' Flats in Gold (on the left) were purchased on Poshmark for $26, originally $100.
